Cardi B Honored With Inspiration Award At 4th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards

The Bronx rapper was honored with the Inspiration Award at the fourth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.

The event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on Friday, June 21, for Hollywood’s biggest night to celebrate some of the industry’s most influential public figures.

Cardi’s authenticity and genuine commentary led to the rise of her fast success on social media. The rapper quickly became a dominate figure in music and entertainment, including roles on various reality TV shows and Hollywood films.

Cardi has influenced pop culture at an immense rate. Now she has used her platform to stand firmly on issues affecting education, women’s rights, racial equality and much more.

From her pioneering as the leading woman in rap music to steering the young generation on political topics concerning justice, equality and respect. The “WAP” rapper was recognized at the 4th annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards for her inspirational efforts.

“I’m really my biggest critic and nobody has it harder in the industry, or any music genre, than a female rapper. You gotta have the best verses and kill the charts and your personal life has to be perfect or else your opps will use it against you. Sometimes it’s hard to be yourself and express yourself in the music. We get it harder than the Pop girls. Every year my goals get bigger. Yall keep asking about my album, it’s coming but I want it to be the best because y’all give us females a hard a** time.”
