Aleisha Renee is a licensed hairstylist originally from South Carolina. Renee currently is living in Atlanta, GA, while leaving her salon back home behind to embark on her new journey as a traveling hairstylist.
“I’m new to Atlanta as of 1 year now. I’m also a licensed cosmetology instructor and beauty business coach. I have a product company consisting of hair, lace/hair products that are in beauty supply stores in my home state.”
Renee is a serial entrepreneur. The stylist has a product company consisting of hair, lace/hair products that are on shelves in beauty supply stores in her hometown.
“I have best sellers which is my Mega Grip Lace Adhesive and our Real Inches Growth Stimulating Oil that I make myself from organic ingredients.”
Renee has owned her own salon since the age of 19 but since living in Atlanta, she’s completely focused on being a mobile hairstylist catering to the everyday busy professionals that need convenient services at their locations.
“I even go out of state with clients and for clients , it’s wherever you need me. I specialize in extensions as far as wig making/ installs and sew ins.”
Renee has had a passion for doing hair since she was 7-years-old. According to the stylist, she manifested her dreams into reality with faith. Renee officially opened up her very first salon at 19-years-old.
“Being a salon owner for years and having the taste of the hair suite life. I transitioned to being a mobile/travel stylist to have new sceneries and have new experiences, and provide more convenience for my clients.“
Eager to know about a memorable achievement or significant milestone accomplished by the owner and her brand, this is what we discovered.
“A memorable achievement is when hair stores reached out to have my products featured in their stores.”
Q. What were some major hurdles you faced, and how did you overcome them?
“The biggest hurdle I faced was moving to Georgia. It was my first time moving out of state and having to rebuild my brand in a new state. I’m overcoming it my working hard, networking, and not being afraid to put myself out there.”
Q. How do you ensure inclusivity and diversity in your brand/project’s marketing efforts, particularly in reaching out to diverse audiences.
“In marketing it’s all about your target audience, I push out content and be relatable to what I’m offering to that audience.”
Curious to know how the owner approach taking risk for her business? This is what she shared with us.
“Being an entrepreneur is all about taking risk, you can’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Being new, and being that my target audience involves celebrities, I’ve reached out to them directly and worked with them from me taking that risk of approaching them.”
