Lemuel Plummer is a producer from Detroit, MI who was born on April 10, 1986.
Plummer was raised amongst a media production family, with his parents being the owners of three television stations.
The producer is a true entrepreneur at heart. Plummer founded his own independent production company titled “L. Plummer Media” and founded the Plummer Foundation, an organization strategically created to help underprivileged children in Detroit.

Plummer was a part of the development of Zeus Network, a popular streaming platform in the United States. The network was founded by social media personalities DeStorm Power, Amanda Cerny, King Bach, and television producer Lemuel Plummer, who serves as the president and CEO.
The network launched on July 13, 2018, and has skyrocketed into one of the biggest streaming platforms today.
The Zeus Network reality series “Baddies West” is the most-watched series with over 91 million views. The reality show, “Baddies,” is a popular realty TV series that premiered back in 2021 that feature some of the most infamous influencers and celebrities in today’s time.
We were eager to learn more about the producer and all the hard work that goes into producing these incredible shows.
In attempt to unravel new information, we got the chance to sit down with Plummer for some exclusive insight.
Q. Tell us a little more about your background story… What was it that you did before you came up with Zeus Network, how did you get to that point?
“I grew up with parents who owned and operated multiple TV stations, so I grew up in the business. They were religious stations, Christians networks…and I’m very blessed and honored to have learned from my parents and the folks that worked for them.”
“I wanted to go a little more mainstream and that’s when I moved to Los Angeles and started working in production as a production assistant. From there I ended up getting a tremendous opportunity to work for BET, where I ended up producing several shows and ultimately executive producing at 21 years old.”
Q. Out of all the shows that you’ve produced, which one would you say you have enjoyed working on the most?
“I enjoy working on all of them… they’re all different shows; there all different content partners and they all bring value to the network. All the shows are doing very well. When we first started, we were doing a lot of short form content… we’ve evolved to doing more long form.”
“Blac Chyna was one of our first big shows with “The Real Blac Chyna.” We gained a lot of national attention and tons of viewers… it was amazing. Ultimately, we ended up doing several other unscripted shows but right now “Baddies is doing incredibly well.”

Plummer took a moment to shout out Natalie Nunn on doing an amazing job on “Baddies” while they’re currently gearing up for season 7, “Baddies Africa.” The producer also shined a light on their newest project” Baddies Gone Wild,” a new reality show coming to the network that features a younger set of girls who will all live together in Brazil.
The CEO also acknowledged Joseline Hernadez, the owner of the show “Joseline’s Cabaret.”
Q. Everybody misses the show “Bad Boys,” what was the reason for the show coming to an end?
“Bad Boys is a different show… it’s one thing to work with women and there are physical altercations that happen, but with the guys it is different, it’s a different experience.”
“The numbers were great, but they weren’t baddie numbers, they weren’t Joseline numbers and it’s just a very male skewing series and show. It’s a great show, we may bring it back, it’s not completely over…its more of a timing thing and making sure that we cast it right.”
Q. Let me ask you about the show “Aunt-Tea Podcast,” is it not coming back?
“We don’t know yet, we don’t have a time frame of when we bring these shows back or when we gear up for another season. All our original shows, they’re all special, all the cast members and content partners mean a lot to us, and they all bring tremendous value.”
“Some shows might be on the shelf for a year, two years, we don’t know. Some shows we may keep them going because there’s a demand for that type of project at that time.”
“Some shows we may bring back and put a different spin on it. It just really depends on the timing of things and depends on what consumers want to see and ultimately our bandwidth,” he added.
Q. You guys were one of the first ones to do the streaming app that was Black owned. How do you feel about other networks trying to mimic what you’re doing but not quite doing it the right way?
“Its flattering to me and not only that, but I’m happy we’re inspiring a lot of people to do whatever it is that they want to do. I don’t even know how many platforms exist. We’re not really thinking about them, we’re kind of in our own world, our own universe.”
“In my opinion we don’t really have any direct competitors, people can do what they want.”
“I think people realize that when they launch these networks and these platforms that its not as easy as they think. There’s a lot of components to running a network.”
Q. What has been your craziest experience while being on set so far?
“It’s too many, everyday it’s a new experience.”
“Zeus is an amazing place to work, it’s never a dull moment and it’s always something going on.”
When asked about how he copes with the daily chaos, this was his response.
“For me, it’s like I’m just so hungry to get to a certain level. So, that passion for wanting to get to that level is where I’m always at mentally.”
Q. What can we expect from Zeus in the next years to come and what would you want to tell the people who are looking up to you, who are kind of following in your footsteps?
“We’re trying to hit a certain level of subscribers, which we’re very close. I can’t share the number, but I look forward to doing that… that’s something that I’m pushing for.”
“I think as far as projects are concerned, we’re going to heavily invest in scripted. We’re talking to some new partners and we’re going to be acquiring some new films and investing in some original movies.”
“As far as encouraging the young generation, I want to say don’t ever give up… that is important and to follow your dreams no matter what. If you really believe in yourself and the gift that God gave you, pursue it.”
“No matter what, don’t let anybody stop you… find that one thing and become great at it.”
“I think once you do that, you’ll be able to truly tap into a whole new level in life. I think when people have to much going on and they’re all over the place it becomes a slower process of gaining success and getting to that place that you want to get to.”
