Lil Baby Helped Over Four Thousand Families in Atlanta Prepare to Send Students Back to School

ATLANTA— On Saturday, July 26, Rapper and Atlanta native, Lil Baby hosted the Fifth Annual Back-to-School Fest at West End Production Park, and event geared towards eliminating financial stress for Atlanta’s West end families and youth by offering a day of free resources and community activities.

Giving assistance to over four thousand families in preparation for students to return to school in the fall, the students received not only free shoes, backpacks, and school uniforms, Lil Baby and his foundation, The Jones Project, also considered the other needs of underserved communities by offering students haircuts, braids, and wellness products.

According to Complex, The Jones Project, and Lil Baby executed the wonderful back-to-school event, giving back to the rapper’s hometown, by partnering with organizations such as The Jessie Rose Project, Zaxby's, The Athlete's Foot, Fanatics, Slim & Husky's Pizza, Dr. Bombay, and j.mcallister Events.

 "At this point, it’s about the kids," Lil Baby shared following the event.

The huge event offered festival games, bounce houses, face painting, a shoe-building station, and free meals from Zaxby's, shoes from The Athlete’s Foot, merchandise from Fanatics, and food from Slim & Husky's Pizza and Dr. Bombay Ice Cream.

“It means a lot to be able to come back and give back, because I know so much comes behind not having shoes and school utensils and stuff for school — because that be a lot of kids’ reason to steer off,” Baby told The Atlanta Voice, according to Billboard.
