Lazell Shaw, better known as Zellswag, is an American cultural stylist and creative director for his own fashion streetwear brand “East Avenue Collection.” The stylist and designer is most known for his unique sense of style that pushes the boundaries between high fashion, causal streetwear with a raw hip hop flare.
Shaw has also featured on one of pop culture most talked about reality TV shows of our generation. He starred in the show“Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” as a TV personality and entertainer.

He continues to bring us raw and unfiltered conversations and has utilized his personality to market himself as an entrepreneur who is currently preparing the launch of his newest business venture.
Shaw is officially launching his new hair care products “Zellswag’s All Naturals.”
According to the business owner, his hair care products were created with every beautiful black king and queen in mind.
Zell’s hair care line is catering to African Americans all around the word who have different types of hair and skin textures. The owner shared with us that his products are also children friendly and he plans on marketing his products to that specific targeted audience.
We were eager to learn more about these amazing products and how they differ from other hair care products on the market.
In attempt to unravel the magic behind these awesome new products and the owners future plans for brand development and expansion, this is what we discovered!

Q. You’re the owner of Zell Swags All Naturals Hair Care products that’s releasing officially this month. When did this new business journey began and what prompted you to get into the cosmetic industry?
“Yes, I am the owner! I’ve been working on ZellSwag All Naturals for a little over a year now. These products are recipes from my great-great grandmother who passed them down through our family’s heritage.”
“ Funny thing is, I used to look at my cousins and siblings who use these products like ‘those don’t work’ but once I started using it for myself and seeing the miracles that were happening, I had to show my friends and most importantly, my fans.”
Q. How does your products differentiate your business from competitors?
“Well, our products are all natural everyday products that we use plus we are a family made business and what other products do you know with the witty shady names like ZellSwag all naturals.”
Q. What are your plans for growth and expansion?
“Our plans are to take over the beauty and hair industry. We want to be at the beauty cons hair shows… we want to be in stores like Walgreens, CVS beauty stores, Sally’s even target.”
Q. Regarding marketing, how do you plan to acquire new customers and retain existing ones?
“We definitely would like it to be organic with getting new and keeping existing customers, but we plan on doing pop-up shops from City to City, like I mentioned before different hair shows beauty Con etc. not to mention the free marketing we get from Love and Hip Hop and MTV.”
Q. What are your short-term and long-term goals for your brand and business?
“Short term goals… are first drop sell out! Long-term goals are to get products on the shelves and add more products to expand the brand and possibly our own TV commercial.”

Q. You’re also the owner of East Avenue Collection, an urban clothing brand. What have you learned from your past business mistakes and challenges that you can now apply to your future business?
“Yes, I am the owner of East Avenue Collection, and I have learned a lot for my past mistakes. One of the biggest things I’ve learned was sticking to my guns and next season that’s what I’ll be doing. I’m going back to what I was doing the first season of East Avenue that inspired me to create it from the beginning.”
“For East Avenue, my audience is all the fashion girls and guys that love to push the envelope and who loves something new. I have a lot of celebrity friends that are in fashion. I’m still cool with a lot of fashion stylist who style the eight girls and fly guys so I’ll plan on pushing it to them.”

“For ZellSwag all natural’s, this is for all my beautiful black kings and Queens even for the little ones.”
“ We plan on getting in the field going to City and City. Having Top influencers test and sample our products… we’re going to start from the ground up.”
Q. What are your thoughts on the significance of networking and building relationships?
“Networking is key!! I feel without networking you have no net worth!! You constantly have to push yourself to new people and put yourself in new places if you want to level up in this game.”
“Relationships are super important as well because without good relationships in this industry, you won’t go anywhere.”

Q. What are the benefits of your products?
“Well, all my products are all natural with no chemicals added so they’ll get all the benefits without the nasty chemicals hurting them.”
Q. How do you plan to convert potential customers into paying clients?
“Just keeping it real with them across the board… I think what my fans love from me is how real I am and how fully transparent I can be.”
